Date Calculator Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 22, 2026 · Operator: Yein · Contact: dyllis.lev@gmail.com
Date Calculator (the "app") has no accounts, and it does not send or collect what you enter to the operator's servers. This page explains what information is used, where, and how.
At a glance
- There is no sign-up and no login.
- What you enter (your D-days, settings, widget styles and so on) is stored only on your device. The operator does not receive it.
- The operator does not collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or calendar contents.
- Ads (Google AdMob) and payments (Google Play) are handled by Google.
- When the app downloads holiday data, it sends only a country code and a year to
apps.hmini.me. That server runs on Cloudflare. - The app includes no analytics or crash-reporting tools.
1. Information the operator does not collect
The operator does not receive or store any of the following.
- Your name, email address (except when you email a question), phone number, or date of birth
- The dates and birth dates you type into the calculator (they are calculated on your device only)
- The titles and dates of the D-days you create
- Location data (the app does not use GPS)
- The contents of your contacts, photo library, or calendar
2. Information stored only on your device
The information below stays on the device where the app is installed and is not sent to the operator.
| Information | Details |
|---|---|
| D-days | Title, date, type, reminder and repeat settings |
| Settings | Country and region, day-counting method, February 29 rule, weekend days |
| Holidays | Downloaded public holidays, and holidays and working days you add yourself |
| Widgets | Widget style (frame, color, font, background) and which D-day each widget shows |
| Purchase status | Whether Google Play reports that you own Premium (used for display) |
Uninstalling the app removes this information. However, if Android's automatic backup is turned on for your device, the app's data may be backed up to your own Google account. That backup belongs to your Google account, and the operator cannot see it.
3. Backup files (JSON)
- Export: the app creates a JSON file and opens Android's share sheet. The file goes only to the app or storage you choose (a drive, email, and so on).
- Import: the app reads only the file you pick in the file picker.
- Backup files never go to the operator's server. You keep and delete them yourself.
- The file contains your data as it is, such as D-day titles, so please check where you send it.
4. Ads (Google AdMob)
- The app shows one banner ad at the bottom of the screen. There are no interstitial or pop-up ads.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show ads and prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK may process your advertising ID, IP address, device information (model, OS version, and so on), and usage such as ad impressions and clicks. The exact data and its use are described by Google.
- The advertising ID is an identifier Android gives each device. You can reset or delete it at any time in Android's Google ads settings (on some devices under "Privacy"), and you can also turn off personalized ads there.
- Consent (UMP): in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions that require consent, the app first shows Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform). Whether ads can be requested depends on your choice, and the app does not request ads without consent.
- If you buy Premium, the banner is no longer shown.

5. Payments (Google Play)
- The only paid feature is Premium, a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions. Premium includes ad removal, lock screen widgets, and widget styles.
- Payment happens in Google Play's checkout. The app and the operator never receive your card or bank details.
- The app only asks Google Play whether you own Premium. "Restore purchase" works the same way.
- Google Play may give the operator sales records (order number, payment status, amount, country, and so on). The operator uses them only for sales totals and for handling refunds and questions.
6. Holiday data requests (apps.hmini.me)
The app includes holiday data, so it can calculate business days without internet. To get up-to-date holidays (such as temporary public holidays), it can send a request to apps.hmini.me: automatically when you open the app, or when you tap "Refresh now".
- What is sent: a country code (for example KR) and a year. No identifier of you and no advertising ID is sent. The ordinary information that travels with any internet request (such as your IP address) is part of the request.
- The country code is chosen on your device: the default comes from your SIM card's country, then the mobile network's country, then your device language's region, then KR, and you can change it in Settings. Only the country code is read; the app does not read your phone number or carrier identifiers. It does not use your location (GPS).
- The server: it runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes request information, including IP addresses, to run and secure the service, and may keep operational records (request time, address, response result, and so on) for a period of time. The server briefly counts requests per IP address to stop abuse, but it does not store IP addresses or build per-user records. The operator does not identify users by IP address or combine it with other data.
- What comes back: the server gathers public holiday data from the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute's special-day information (for Korea) and from Nager.Date (for other countries) and returns it. The app does not connect to those sources directly.
- If a request fails, the app keeps working with its built-in data.
7. Permissions
| Permission | When | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Internet | Always | Ads, holiday data updates, checking Google Play purchases |
| Notifications | Asked only when you turn on D-day reminders | Shows D-day reminders. They are scheduled on your device (sent at 9:00 AM). No notifications come from a server. You can decline and still use everything else. |
| Calendar (read) | Asked only when you tap "Import from calendar" | Creates a D-day from the title and date of the event you choose. It is read on your device only and never sent out. The app does not change or add events. |
| Photos | When you pick a photo for a widget background (Premium widget styles) | Uses only the photo you choose in Android's photo picker as a widget background. It does not read your whole library, and the photo does not leave your device. |
| Reboot and exact alarms | Widgets and reminders | Refreshes widgets at midnight and reschedules reminders after a reboot or a date or time zone change. It does not read personal data. |
Saving and opening backup files and sharing work through Android's file picker and share sheet, so no separate storage permission is needed. You can turn permissions on or off at any time in Android settings.
8. Sharing
Sharing a result or a D-day as text or an image works only when you tap the share button. It goes only to the app you choose in Android's share sheet and does not pass through the operator's server.
9. Retention and deletion
The operator does not keep your personal information, so there is nothing to ask the operator to delete.
- Data on your device: removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android's app settings.
- Backup files: please delete them where you saved them.
- Information held by Google (ads, payments) and Cloudflare follows each company's policy.
10. Third-party services
| Service | Purpose | Information |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Banner ads, consent check (UMP) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play Billing | Premium purchase and purchase check | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Cloudflare | Hosting the holiday server and this page | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
11. Children
The app is not mainly directed at children under 14. The operator does not collect personal information from anyone, children included. Information processed by the ad SDK is described in section 4.
12. Contact and your rights
For questions about privacy, requests to access, correct, or delete data, or any concern, write to dyllis.lev@gmail.com. We reply as soon as we can. The operator holds no personal information, so the answers above usually settle it, but we will check if you ask.
You can change your ad personalization in Google Ad Settings. If you are in Korea, you can also contact the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (dial 118).
13. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the effective date on this page. For major changes that affect your rights, we also say so in the app update notes or inside the app.
